A NOTE TO JANEE !!!

This blog is sort of a mess !!

When I was having all the trouble with Blogger last week, I was trying all kinds of solutions .... I deleted some stuff, thinking I might be over my limit.. so, I have re-uploadied all my images and work, but unfortunately, some are not in order with the comments .. (a couple I don't have the comments!

One of the greatest things about this Launchpad series is that I now know how to do a blog .. sort of !!

Please let me know if there is a problem with this and I will re-create the lessons in order .

Thanks
Paula

Lesson Six Blue Team

This was so much fun !!

In my collage , I used a "scrapbook" type of theme.. I started with a backdrop layer with a pattern overlay , then added noise.
the extra filter I then aded was a crosshatch .

I layered the map of The Baltic European countries from y trip. ( I scanned this to a jpg file) on my bottom layer, with a drop shadow and an inner glow, then added my photos, ( a few of which I adjusted the levels) scaling and rotating them, adding Janee's lesson of inner glow to make the borders, ( I love this .. I will use it a LOT) , and a drop shadow.

On my type, I used the vertical type tool for my "Scratched" font ( never used the vertical type tool before .. a little tricky) a drop shadow, bevel and contour. The type on the photos is Dakota Handwriting. There were so many things to use and try ... it's hard not to stop! I love my page !

One comment ... Seeing on the blog page... I see I could have brought the whole image down a little on the page.. I need to get used to my screen a little more when working in photoshop . I could have used the grids to better use.
A great lesson

Lesson Five Blue Team

This lesson was tough for me!! I It took me several attempts to understand the different elements of align and distribute, but I think I have the concept down .. I want to do more ASAP so I won't forget!
The biggest problem was I had my buttons and type on the same layers .. ( I thought this was what we were supposed to do) after many attempts and re-reading the lesson, I realized this was wrong!

I used the marquee to create the buttons, the layer styles for the drop shadow and bevel, paint bucket, align and distibute
(even with my non-button text at the bottom right) and the warp tool in text ... three quarters of the tools I have never used in Photoshop before .. As challenging as the align/distribute was for me, I am so glad I know the concepts now.
I need to get going on lesson six... a week later !
